OnePlus mystery smartphone shows up with Snapdragon 810 on board

OnePlus-2-Mini-leak

A OnePlus mystery smartphone going by the model number One E1000 has been certified by China’s telecommunications regulatory agency, TENAA. OnePlus hasn’t mentioned anything about this new device yet, though it does seem to have improved upon the OnePlus X’s specifications.

The Chinese agency says the device has a 4.99-inch Full HD display, a 2GHz Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage with microSD support, a 13-megapixel rear camera, an 8-megapixel front camera, and LTE connectivity. As you can see, the device is identical to the OnePlus X, barring the upgraded Snapdragon 810 processor.

OnePlus’ mystery smartphone originally showed up on GFXBench a couple months back, claiming it to have a 4.6-inch Full HD display, 4GB of RAM, a 12-megapixel rear camera. a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, and a whopping 64GB of internal storage.

Again, there’s been no official world on this smartphone, but it’ll be interesting to see who and what it’s for, especially considering the only improved specification from the OnePlus X is that Snapdragon 810 processor. Some reports have begun to initially call this device a OnePlus 2 Mini.

If the initial reports are indeed true, it might be a viable device for those who prefer smaller handsets, and hopefully have better supported bands than the OnePlus X did. It’s certainly not uncommon for manufacturers to release smaller sized variants of their smartphones a la Samsung and ZTE.
