The new iPhones are here and there have been plenty of buzz around the same. It has been only a couple of days that we have been playing with the Rose Gold variant of the iPhone 6S Plus and here are the five features that have impressed us the most.
Touch ID
There are plenty of smartphone that come with fingerprint scanner. As a matter of fact even the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus came with one. However, we must admit that it has got just more seemless with the iPhone 6S Plus. Most of the times, you don't even realise that you have unlocked your phone via fingerprint scanner.
As per Apple's claims, the Touch ID is up to 2x faster. While we are not really backing that claim but we insist this is the best fingerprint-scanner experience offered by any smartphone in the market right now.
Peek and Pop
With the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus, Apple has introduced what it dubs as the 3D touch. With the help of Peek and Pop, you can preview content and even act on it—without having to actually open it. So if you want to Peek at an e-mail in your inbox, you can do so with a light press and you need to press a little deeper to Pop and see the full e-mail.
You may take a little time in getting used to these gestures, but one you have the hang of the same, then you'd be wanting it on almost every device.
Camera
The new iPhones come with a better camera, so what you have is a 12MP rear camera and a 5MP one to make a Facetime call. Not only the camera is good at clicking most things effortlessly, but it also enables users to capture live pictures that are about 3 seconds long and can be also termed as talking GIFs.
If you are out in the nature of have kids around, this is one feature that you are going to use quite often. One big limitation is that for now you can see these live images only on iOS 9 devices, but we are hoping that other social networking sites will be looking at adding support to the same soon.
Transliteration
With the iOS9, Apple has introduced Transliteration and we have been having good fun using the same. How this works is that you have enabled Hindi transliteration keyboard, then can type Hindi words in English such as Mera, Tera, Ghar and they will be changed to devnagiri script on the fly.
Reader Mode in Safari
If you love reading articles on your phone, then there is no way that you will not love the reader mode that Safari browser offers. The Safari Reader mode allows you to change the font type (default is San Francisco) and font size for better readability. You can also change the background colour of the page if you so desire.
