Todoist is slowly rolling out version 9 of its Android app, bringing with it a ton of new features.
One of the major aspects of this update is Intelligent Input, found in the Quick Add task bar. Todoist has always been severely limited in this area, only able to recognize dates and labels. Now, in version 9, Todoist’s intelligence has been expanded and is able to projects, task assignees, and it can even pop up an auto-completion panel with suggestions.
You can see how Intelligent Input works in the GIF above.
Another major improvement is how Todoist has made all of the little things fairly simple. The company has done a lot to improve its task list app, especially with the Material Design overhaul. Version 9, for the most part, expands on that by fixing a lot of little things in the name of making things feel seamless and just “right.”
That said, Todoist now has Bluetooth keyboard support, support for emoji, as well as improvements to attached images and orientations. You can also expect to see some improved task sorting, notification synchronization, better snackbar positioning, and much, much more.
If you haven’t been prompted to download the update in the Play Store, you can grab it with the download link below.
