Moovit has taken a step towards making public transportation more accessible for everyone and is offering one of the first apps to support navigation for the visually impaired. They’ve partnered with blind developer Adi Kushnir to create an easily used experience in the latest app update.
The version 4.10 update uses VoiceOver and TalkBack in every single screen of the app, which should make things much, much easier for a blind person to use. That’s a big step forward in making tricky public transportation simpler to use. They’ll be able to hear buttons and icons on screen to help navigate the app, which should particularly helpful for anyone wanting to take advantage of the new features Moovit has been rolling out lately.
You should expect to see the update roll out soon on Google Play.
