Xiaomi will be celebrating their sixth year anniversary this week and they want to make consumers part of the fun. On Wednesday, April 6th, the company has several special deals and events lined up that could mean exceptional value for Xiaomi fans.
The first item of note for the Mi Fan Festival 2016 is the launch of the new Xiaomi Mi 5 smartphone. The Mi 5 will be powered by a Snapdragon 820 processor matched to 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory driving a 5.2-inch display. Besides launching on Wednesday for ₹ 24,999 ($378 USD), Xiaomi will be offering special flash sales of the device at 11:00 am, 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm.
In addition to the flash sales for the Mi 5, Xiaomi will also be offering their Redmi Note 3 smartphone starting at ₹ 9,999 ($151 USD) and the 20,000mAh Mi Power Bank for ₹ 1,699 ($26 USD). Xiaomi is also launching a variety of accessories during the Mi Fan Festival like some Mi In-Ear Headphones Pro (₹ 1,399/$21 USD), a special LED light that can run off the USB port of a smartphone (₹ 249/$4 USD), and a Mi USB Cable (₹ 149/$2 USD).
If the latest and greatest hardware is not your thing, Mi will also be offering some specials with older equipment. If you buy a Mi Band, Xiaomi will throw in a pair of Mi In-Ear Headphones. They will also throw in headphones with the purchase of a Mi 4i smartphone or a Mi Pad.
On April 5th, Xiaomi is promising to announce a special “mystery offer” that will be made available as part of the Mi Fan Festival. To push their Mi Store App, Xiaomi included a game within the app that can yield coupons, F codes and even a chance to win a Mi 5 smartphone. A Mi 5 will also be up for grabs for users who change their Facebook or Twitter cover photos with a special image provided by Xiaomi and tag the company after doing so.
