After ‘happy new year’ offer, Jio is all set to launch another plan for its existing customers. Reliance owner Mr. Mukesh Ambani has confirmed this news by announcing ‘Jio Prime Membership’ which is available at nominal price of just 99 Rs.
These membership plans are different than regular Jio plans & we are going to enlist all of those in this post.

How to enroll for this plan?
Registrations will be open on 1st March 2017 & last date for the enrollment is 31st March 2017. Existing jio users or those who join Jio before 31st March can opt for prime membership.
After 1st March, open MyJio app or simply head over to Jio.com & login to your account. Then click on the prime membership banner & make the payment.
How much does it cost?
Rs 99 for 1 year. As of now, it is not known whether this is a one time fee or recurring amount.
What are the benefits?
Under this plan, you will get:
- All Jio happy new year offer benefits will be extended till 31st March 2018.
- Free voice & video calls across any network in India
- No roaming charges
- No hidden charges
- Important : You will be charged Rs 303 per month.
- 30 GB data in a month (1GB per day) which effectively costs just Rs 10 per day for 1GB data.
- Free access to JioTV, Jio Cinema & many other apps.
What about Non-Prime members?
We have already listed Reliance Jio tariff plans which can be seen here. Non prime customers can use those plans to continue data & voice call benefits.
Is it worth the money?
Maybe. Within 2-3 weeks other telecom companies will start launching similar offers to compete with Jio. If they come up with better plans than Jio, then prime membership won’t be worth the money.
If you are ready to spend 99 Rs (one time fee for 1 year) + 303 Rs per month for next 12 months, then definitely go for this plan. Why? Because you are getting 1GB at just 10 Rs per day as explained earlier + free calling benefits.
