Vao Exam Apply Online, Syllabus & Notifications 2017

VAO also known as Village Administrative Officer is an exam held by TNPSC (Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission) and held every year.

How to Apply for VAO Examination?

1. TNPSC has 2 online portals where you can apply online for VAO exam.
2. To register, simply visit www.tnpscexams.in or www.tnpscexams.net
3. Now you will need to do OTR (one time registration) which is mandatory for all the candidates who are willing to apply for exam.
4. Please note that OTR is just for the registration purpose, you are not applying for any kind of recruitment.
5. As of now OTR fee is 150 Rs and it is valid for 5 years. Once you get it done, you can apply for any TNPSC exams provided that you meet the eligibility criteria.
6. After making payment of 150 rs, you will be given user id & password for login.
7. Once you login, you will see the notification of VAO exam and you can easily apply for it online.

VAO Exam Age Limit

Likewise other government exams, VAO has also set age as selection criteria. Here are the rules:

• For Open Category : Min age 21 years, max age 30 years.
• For Other Categories : Min age 21 years, max age 40 years.

VAO Exam Date 2017

Online form filling started on 1st June 2017 & the exam will be conducted on 17th September 2017. There are total 494 vacancies for this seat.

What Educational Qualifications Are Required?

Candidate should have sufficient knowledge of Tamil language which is the basic criteria. Along with that, one should have passed SSLC public examination or its equivalent HSC or college course.

Salary Structure for the VAO Post

Salary will range from Rs 5200 to Rs 20,200 and there will be a grade pay of Rs 2400.
