3 Tricks To Pause App Download in Google Play Store
If you’re an android user of Nougat or above, then this is for you. You can simply pause your downloads from your home screen. For pausing, exit play-store but make sure to keep it minimised. Then drag your notification bar which shows the progress of the downloading app or game. You’ll find two tabs there – pause and cancel. You’re to click pause and start it at time of your need. But you need to be careful to not remove it from cache, otherwise you’ll end up losing the progress your downloading has made.
This one’s pretty simple and obvious. You can simply put off your data or WiFi connection. The progress you’ve made is resumed from where you leave the next time you turn it on. A major con of this method however is you cannot surf the internet because it requires you to completely keep off your data. Also, you need to keep the download tab minimised and not removed from your screen.
There’s an another and a generalised way of pausing the downloads. You can follow these :
- Open Settings
- Open data usage
- Find play-store, if not, system apps. You should be able to find it there.
- Drag to the bottom and find the tool you’re using for your downloads. If it’s mobile data, turn it off. If it’s WiFi, do the same with it.
- You’re downloading is now paused. However you are free to use your internet for everything else apart from downloading from play-store itself. You can then resume your downloads from where you’ve left by turning it back again.
