Xiaomi announced the Redmi 3 back in January, a $100 smartphone featuring a massive 4,100mAh battery, a Snapdragon 616 processor, 2GB of RAM, a metal design as well as dual-SIM and MicroSD card support. Today, the Chinese handset maker has officially announced a follow-up device called the Redmi 3 Pro that features some upgraded hardware.
While much of the hardware remains the same as the standard Redmi 3, the Redmi 3 Pro has received a bump in specifications, moving up to 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, with a fingerprint scanner being added to the rear panel.

Xiaomi will apparently offer the Redmi 3 Pro in China from April 4th for around $138 in gray, gold, and silver colour options. Xiaomi hasn’t mentioned anything about when or even if the Redmi 3 Pro become available globally.
